Thank you to Jadzia-Dax from Edenia for allowing me to use their Citadel Guide (with minor edits).
Clan Citadel Guide
Why should you cap?
[*]Each week you can claim a bonus xp reward from the quartermaster
[*]Once you've capped 3 times (fealty 3), you can claim a weekly xp reward from your clan cape
[*]Capping allows us to upgrade the citadel, with things like a second avatar, and summoning and crafting plots.
[/ul]
Capping is not mandatory in Reptiles, but if you want promotions it's good to show you're willing to chip in.
How do you cap? (What even is "capping"?)
Capping is gathering resources at the citadel. Once you gather 1600 resources and you've "capped" for the week.
Where is the citadel located?
The citadel's located at the clan camp, south of Falador:
The first time you go, drop in on the scribe and the captain of the guard to get your cloak and vexillium (marked on the map above). The cape gives you an xp reward, and the vex can teleport you back to the clan camp, among other things.
Go through the portal and you'll be at the clan citadel. Welcome! Chat's global so anyone in the citadel can hear you wherever you are if you speak in public chat.
Open up your world map and you should see an interface like this:
PLEASE NOTE, REPTILES' CITADEL DOES NOT HAVE THE SAME LAYOUT.
Keep: This is where the Quartermaster is (Through the big doors and left). Visit him once weekly to gain a bonus xp reward for capping. You can also deposit 300 anagogic orts here for bonus experience from the clan avatar whenever you are in the same world as her.
Avatar Habitat (town square): This is where the clan avatar lives. Admins+ can summon her from here. You can also give anagogic orts directly to the avatar.
Portal (exit): You can't just home teleport out of the citadel. To leave, teleport to the portal + exit.
For now, pick the one of the skill plots: woodcutting, mine, furnace (smithing), kiln (firemaking) and you should be teleported to that spot.
The mining and woodcutting skill plots (above) are fairly straightforward.
Cut the roots for wood or mine the ore/stone/precious ore (up to you which) and the resources will be sent directly to the clan storehouse.
The furnace plot gives you smithing xp, uses charcoal and produces metal bars which are sent directly to the clan storehouse.
[*]Move to spot 3 and click on the mould (with the bars in) to empty the bars into the water trough.
[*]Move to spot 4 and click on the water trough to empty the cooled bars into the chute. Once this is done the plot will reset.
[*]Repeat!
[/ul]
If you get a notice saying that there's not enough charcoal, it means the kiln plot needs to be used more before you can smith again.
The kiln plot gives you firemaking xp, uses wood and produces charcoal which is sent directly to the clan storehouse.
The kiln has 8 corners, 4 of which are totally unnecessary to you unless there are more than 4 people working on the plot at once. The quickest way to work the kiln in a group of 1-4 people is to stick to shovelling the middle four piles of wood, rotating clockwise or something so you don't forget where you were. When all 4 corners are full, the furnace resets and you can start again.
This plot's nice and simple - just click the obelisk that's glowing, it'll look like this --> You don't need any materials, and the minions that this plot provides can be turned into any resource, so we're always happy for you to cap here. The only drawback is that you can only do 10% of your cap (so 200 resources) here before it stops you and you have to move to another plot. |
This plot can only sustain 1-2 people at a time - no arguing over it! figure something out among yourselves
Simply weave the cloth on both sides (circled). If there are two of you, stand either side and do it at the same time, if it's just you you'll need to do both sides. Once both sides are spun, the loom resets and you can start again.
This produces cloth for the clan and crafting xp for you

Collecting resources at any of these locations count towards the same 2000 total. Sometimes we may encourage you to use one more plot than another, or lock one because it's being overused. This is because we need specific resources for upgrades, but in general you can freely cap wherever you like .
^ this interface should come up automatically on entering the citadel, it's called "minigames". Resources gathered are at the top. Once you hit 2000 you've capped.
Happy capping, and thanks for contributing <3
Note: We understand ironman accounts get very little from the citadel, and as such it's unfair of us to hold you to the same expectations as everyone else where capping's concerned. Discuss it with us in-game.[/quote]
