I am Geckos, your clan owner and strange leader.
I have been playing RuneScape since about 2001. I was not an active player until about 2006, however. I still have my first account! You may know Reptiles Syn. This was the first account I made back in 2001. I played for about 15 minutes after which someone took me into the Varrock Sewers and pked me for whatever I had. I quit for a while and came back when I was older and could understand the game mechanics a little better. My next account was short-lived. I was keylogged when I was a stupid 13 year old and ended up getting a permanent mute on my account, so I gave up and started a new one, the one I have now. Geckos.
I played on this account very poorly for the first three years. I had no idea what I was doing, and RS2 made things harder to train. My first 99 was woodcutting. I cut magics from 75 to 88, moved to willows for a while, then went back to magics from 90 to 94. Finally, ivy came out, and I spent the next several weeks camping ivy. I finally got my first 99 in 2010. Shortly after, Jagex took away free trade and the wilderness. Many of my friends ended up quitting, and eventually, so did I. I joined my high school's soccer team and forgot about RuneScape for a while.
I started playing soccer in high school! I was the junior varisty goal keeper, but quickly grew familiar with the game and gameplay, and after playing in a winter tournament, I took the varsity goal keeper's place. After three years of soccer in high school, I was signed by a local community college with an ever-familiar team mascot, the Geckos. I broke several school records during my time there. I planned on continuing my sports career at a university until my mother was diagnosed with cancer. It's been the working life for me ever since. I hope to get back into soccer at some point!
In the mean time, I met Lilly (Katarzyna67) back in August of last year. We have been extremely close ever since! In April of this year, during our time apart, Lilly started getting back into RuneScape because I had mentioned it at one point. She ended up getting me back into the game as well. We both joined a clan after playing for a couple months, but that ended up not working out and I was kicked from the clan by the clan leader. The clan ended up disbanding/merging with another clan shortly after. The clan they merged with ended up kicking out the clan leader that kicked me, and then shortly after that that clan, too, broke up and faded away. So far, my only clan success story lies with Reptiles, and I intend to keep it that way for many years to come!
Finally, I have loads of reptiles, hence my username and the clan's name. If you ever want to know anything about reptiles, ask me! I love to help people that want to learn, and that is another reason I started this clan. If you want to learn and are willing to be helped, I am more than happy to be there for you.
